That's the pot calling the kettle black, Rambis

So ‪NY Knicks interim coach Kurt Rambis called out‪ Derek Fisher for not stressing the triangle offense. I'm wondering if Rambis ever heard about defense or even offense?  I think Phil was pushed into hiring Derek Fisher when Steve Kerr turned down the job with the Knicks, (although with the Knicks team last season, Kerr wouldn't have done much better than Fisher.

This year was different.  When Fisher was coaching well this year the Knicks were a .500 team.  Yes, they did lose ten games in a row and I guess you need to fire the coach at that point, but I think the problem with the Knicks isn't the coach, its the system.

When Jackson had the triangle system in Chicago he had players like Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan, Steve Kerr etc.  In LA he had Shaq and Kobe both together and individually.  Those players can win with any system.  Phil gets bashed for having teams with Hall of Famers, but every coach who ever won more than one championship had at least one players that was the best in the game (and maybe the Best all time), Red Auerbach and KC Jones had them in Boston. I'm not taking anything away from Red Auerbach's ability to put teams together.  He was probably the best GM and coach in history of professional sports.  But all those coaches had teams with as much talent as Jackson's Chicago and LA teams.

The Knicks need to realize that the triangle system won't work with this team as constructed.  But that doesn't mean I think this Knicks team isn't capable of winning at least 40 games, but in order to do so they need to realize that first off they need a new system.  They don't have Pippen and Michael Jordan etc. or Shaq and Kobe etc. or Kobe etc.  They have a team that with a quality point guard which they can get in the off season and a player to replace Arron Affalo could win 40 to 50 games.  But they need a coach to do so.  They need the best coach.  That doesn't mean someone who will coach the triangle system, it means they best coach regardless of the system he has.  What I'm saying is that the Knicks need to  hire Tom Thibodeau, David Blatt, Scott Brooks or Mark Jackson already.  Jackson seems to be  obsessed with the triangle offense, and he should be, it helped him win many championships.  But this Knicks team isn't the Lakers or the Bulls.  So forget the triangle system and move on.  You fired Derek Fisher and replaced him with Kurt Rambus who is just as bad so the knicks can keep the system that won't work with their team.  Forget the freaken triangle and hire a good coach and there are a lot of good coaches out there including Tom Thibodeau, David Blatt, Mark Jackson. Hiring Rambus just because he is a triangle coach is insane.   Rambis' career coaching record is as bad as Fisher's.  They can go after Luke Walton who will turn the Knicks down and he stuck with Rambis or hire Rambis and be stuck with a bad coach.  Why not just hire Tom Thibodeau, David Blatt, Mark Jackson and have a good coach (and add a point guard and a player to replace Affalo?
